Sam Cassell, DPT

Sam Cassell, DPT

Sam moved to the Redding area with his wife in 2020 from Atlanta, GA. He graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Biology at Berry College in Rome, GA, then went on to earn his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Georgia State University. He brings over five years' experience in outpatient orthopedics and over three years of experience in a supervisory role. Sam welcomes the opportunity to serve the surrounding community as Lead Physical Therapist of both Mountain View Physical Therapy and Burney Physical Therapy. In his free time, Sam and his wife, Crystal, enjoy the outdoors and traveling.
Stephen Davids, DPT

Stephen Davids, DPT

Steve was born and raised in Unionville, Connecticut. He attended the University of Vermont where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Exercise and Movement Science in 2017. He continued on to earn his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh in 2020. Steve completed a yearlong clinical internship at the UPMC Freddie Fu Sports Medicine Center where he worked alongside spine specialists and treated college and high school athletes as well as general orthopedic conditions. Steve's passion for working with adaptive athletes inspired him to volunteer his time with the Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports Program during his undergraduate work. He then brought this passion to the University of Pittsburgh where he and his classmates founded the Pitt Adaptive Athletics Strength and Conditioning Program. Steve is also a published first author in the Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma for research based on proximal humeral fractures. Steve enjoys backpacking, skiing, football and basketball, playing the sax, collecting vinyl records, and riding motorcycles. He is excited to provide quality care to his patients at Burney Physical Therapy.

Garret Gheen, MPT

Garret received his Master's degree in Physical Therapy and his Bachelor's in Health Science from Loma Linda University in 2004. Garret started his career in Southern California, developing new courses and curriculum for some of the latest physical therapy techniques before moving to the Redding area with his young family in 2007. He specializes in outpatient orthopedics and neck/back rehabilitation and has developed programs for total joint rehabilitation as well as a vestibular (dizziness) rehabilitation program. Garret also is an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, certified through the American Physical Therapy Association. Garret is a devoted family man, and is active in sports and outdoor recreation including mountain biking, running, hiking, golfing, fly fishing, snowboarding, and surfing.

Catie Worthan, PTA

Catie graduated from Sacramento State with a Bachelor's in Exercise Science with a concentration in Clinical Rehabilitation. She then continued on to Sacramento City College and obtained her Physical Therapist Assistant License. Catie enjoys working with patients to help them return to their prior level of function, improve their balance and coordination, and take part in the activities and hobbies they enjoy doing. Catie grew up in the Fall River Valley and is very thankful to give back to the community that raised her. She was a triathlete in high school and now enjoys golfing, fishing, running, camping, and hiking.

Kristina, PT Tech

Kristina is a Burney native who has worked in the medical field and fitness industry for over 20 years. As a PT Tech, she brings her unique set of skills to assist the Physical Therapist in each individual's treatment at the clinic. KIn her spare time, Kristina enjoys hanging out with her fabulous husband and being with her family. She loves the outdoors - her hobbies include camping, hiking, boating, skiing, quad riding, kayaking, teaching Zumba classes and walking her 3 Golden Retrievers.

Loni, PT Tech

Loni was born and raised in Burney and is joyfully raising her four children here as well. She is the varsity volleyball coach at Burney High School where her daughters and son attend. In her spare time, Loni can be found at the gym or on the field watching her kids compete in volleyball, softball, soccer, football and wrestling. They also enjoy the beautiful outdoors.

Christy, Receptionist

Christy was raised in Burney and has lived here most of her life. She graduated from Burney High School in 1995 and then attended cosmetology school, attaining her license less than a year later. Christy continued in this field until the birth of her son in 2002. After being a stay-at-home mother for some time, she began working as our Receptionist at Burney PT. In this position, Christy greatly enjoys the opportunity to help take care of those in her community. Her spare time is spent with family at the Redding Dragstrip where her family often races.
