Ryan is originally from Santa Rosa but moved to Redding in 1992. He is part of the first cohort to graduate from Redding Institute of Technology's Physical Therapist Assistant program in July 2021. However, Ryan's cumulative experience in the physical therapy field extends nearly twenty years and encompasses both outpatient orthopedics and well as inpatient orthopedic and neurological settings.
Ryan's passion for physical therapy stemmed from personal experience with sports injuries, and he brings this dedication to serve his patients every day. He holds certifications in myofascial decompression cupping (MFD) as well as instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) and looks forward to beginning the PTA Advanced Proficiency Pathways program in the near future.
At Burney Physical Therapy Ryan especially likes working with athletes and pediatrics, and finds it particularly rewarding to assist others in returning to the various outdoor activities they enjoy. He is an outdoorsman himself and loves spending his free time hunting, fishing, and camping. He is married with four incredible children. Additionally, Ryan is very active in our region's Lion's Club and is heavily involved with food distribution to local families in need.
